Adventist

Adventist refers to members of a Christian movement that emerged during the 19th century, following the teachings of William Miller.1 Adventist beliefs are characterized by a strong focus on Christ’s return2 and prophetic speculation primarily stemming from the book of Daniel.3 Some branches of Adventism believe in soul sleep or the annihilation of the wicked upon Judgement Day, rather than eternal conscious torment in hell.4
