Christendom

Often used by Jehovah’s Witnesses to refer to “professed Christianity, in contrast with the true Christianity of the Bible.”1 In the Watch Tower’s literature, Christendom is viewed as an enemy and betrayer of God and the Bible and is primarily associated with the Catholic church,2 the “pagan” teachings of the Trinity, and the political exploits of those claiming divine right under Christianity.3
